Service Pâques began in 2006. The main aim of the project was to encourage the young and the not so young, to serve their local population using their ideas and projects and to then put these ideas into practice.

We wanted to particularly highlight to our youth, the importance of being involved and engaged as a citizen. If they had ideas, whether artistic, social or spiritual in nature – to connect them with a coach who could help them in thinking through their project and help them put it into place.

The heart behind all of the projects should be one of service. We want to create projects and activities in Service Pâques in which our neighbors’ benefit, that there could be a link created which would enable us to begin a conversation, and potentially lead us to sharing the good news of Easter with them.

For those that take part in Service Pâques it is also an occasion to grow in your faith, to live out an amazing adventure and even to dive into friendships that could last a lifetime! You can come out of Service Pâques with the feeling of having been of service to the community, knowing that your actions have made a difference. You can see in a clearer way your abilities, (to lead, to be part of a team, to take initiative) your giftings and definitely your understanding of who God is will have grown!

Kings Kids are not the only players involved in the creation of Service Pâques. Local churches are fully involved in the creation and implementation of projects happening on the streets, as well as the worship, teaching and prayer that surrounds the camp.

The local councils play an active role in SP by giving permissions necessary for the projects to take place on the streets during Easter.
