Finding help to build a project

What is a one on one?

Someone in your social circle (friend, family member, church contact, youth group leader) who can help you put into practice your project. Basically, someone who can give you suggestions, help, support – someone that you trust, who has some common sense and some organizational skills!

What is a one on one NOT?

They are NOT a second leader, neither are they an observer. They do not try to take leadership of your project. They are concerned with YOU as a person. They want to see you grow in your abilities and in your character development just as much as they are interested in the success of your project.

How to find one?

Look around you! Ask! Consider to ask someone to pray about being your one on one. Once you have found someone – get in touch with the project coordinator of your region. Give the contact details of your one on one to the project leader and they will then send to you both some useful information about how to go about the creation and development of a project.

If you have considered and looked and not found anyone who can act as a one on one for you, get in touch and we will help you to find a solution.

The Role and Purpose of a One to One

A One to One personal supporter has a direct connection with the Team Director, the two roles have a similar level of responsibility. A One to One is there to guide, support and carry an external perspective as the Team Director learns and grows into their role. On the other hand, the Team Director has an accountability towards their One to One – keeps their One to One informed of their plan and work schedule as they prepare and lead the team.

How to Propose A Project

Would you like to create and lead a project? Maybe you have some ideas or thoughts for one? Well this page is for YOU!

Simply get in touch with the Team Project Leader in the region in which you plan to lead a project, and make a suggestion!

Please take note that proposing a project – does not mean you are automatically signed up to be a participant of your project! You need to propose your project AND then sign up as a participant once the project has been added to the Region of SP that you sign up to.
Once you have proposed your project it will need to be validated before it appears on the site – don’t worry, we will contact you quickly to confirm with you the details.
